Comment by Geraldo Castro De Jesus III on July 11, 2011 at 1:00am I agree with John on getting to know you and your board. Once you can become linked to the way your board will act during usual cruising and then from different types of ground like cement and wood. You will be ready for more complex things. Skating comes to some at different paces, so take your time and never be afraid. I've been skating for 14 years and I still don't have everything down :D

Comment by James Johnson on June 21, 2011 at 5:49pm I think this might help, if your nervous about practicing ollies (When you get there) on the street, you could try in the grass until you think you could take it to the street.

Comment by Miles Roderick on June 19, 2011 at 2:39pm you can start to just skating down the street and getting the hang of rolling and balancing.. once you get that down you can start trying ollies, when u pop the board up... go inside and hold onto a table or a couch on carpet and keep practicing that... how to ollie is easy.. just simply pop the tail with your back foot and slide your front foot up to the nose of the board and jump at the same time.. this will lift the board up..
